Hi, I’m Alison

I’m a counsellor based in Modbury North in Adelaide, supporting individuals, couples, and parents. My approach is warm, grounded, and practical, a calm space to talk things through and work out what needs to change.

I love to see clients empowered to change their challenges and struggles into areas of growth.

My approach


With a trauma informed approach, I use a selection of therapies including CBT, Narrative Therapy & Psychotherapy. I am genuinely interested in people and helping them navigate through a wide variety of issues including:

  • stress

  • grief

  • anxiety

  • loss

  • complex family dynamics

  • depression

  • communication

  • abusive relationships

  • marital issues

  • discovering authentic identity.

As a counsellor, my approach is founded in evidence based models of therapy. I also have a profound respect for the client's inherent value and strongly believe in their freedom to choose their own strength-based path.

I am registered as a Clinical Counsellor with both PACFA and CCAA and have more than 10 years’ experience in helping people create change in their lives.

In one on one sessions we can address issues like:

Addictions, Anger Management, Anxiety, Childhood Abuse, Depression, Emotional & Physical Abuse, Emotional Crisis, Grief, Loss, Trauma, Healthy Boundaries, Life Transitions, Relationships, Self Esteem, Sexual Issues, Stress Management

In Couples/Marriage counselling I work with:

Affairs, Trust Issues, Emotional Crisis, Family Conflict, Pre-Marriage (Prepare Enrich), Separation Issues

I work in both face to face settings and also offer Telehealth via Zoom. I have provider numbers for any Health Fund that falls under the ARHG banner including (but not limited to) St Luke's Health, CUA, Phoenix, Teacher's Health and Emergency Services Health. Please advise me if you will be accessing health fund support to ensure you receive the documentation you will need to make a claim.
